With 170 km and 5,400 m of elevation gain on the program, 16,000 amateur cyclists will experience the unique atmosphere of the Tour de France by tackling the 20th stage of the 2026 Tour de France, which connects Le Bourg-d'Oisans to Alpe d'Huez.
Legendary Tour de France mountain passes await the participants: the Col de la Croix de Fer, the Col du Télégraphe, and the Col du Galibier. Above all, the finish at Alpe d'Huez, via the new Col de Sarenne, will make this a truly special stage where the professionals will undoubtedly battle for the yellow jersey a few days later.
With its 5,400 m of elevation gain, L'Étape du Tour de France 2026 is without a doubt the most challenging in recent years. It's a demanding test that requires intensive training to cross the finish line within the time limit.
Registration for the general public will open on Monday, November 3rd at 2:00 PM (French time). Be ready!
Alpe d'Huez is the host village and finish line!
